October 6:S. Gauntt St. and part of W. College St. will be closed from the intersection of Sawyer St. and S. Gauntt St. to the intersection of McGee St. and W. College St. starting tomorrow (10/7/2021) at 8:30am until end of the day for utility work. We appreciate your patience.

September 21:The 100 block of W. Larkin and 300 block of La Rue St. will be closed to traffic overnight on Thursday, September 23, for road repair. Both roads will open back up on Friday morning. Barricades and traffic control devices will be put in place by contractors for guidance to the public. Our first responders will have access to homes in case of any emergency.

September 17: TxDOT will be performing Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) testing on South Prairieville Street near Ben Belt Dr and Campus Dr. next Tuesday, Sept. 20. The road will be closed from approximately 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for the safety of the work crews.

September 1:Road Closure: Cream Level Rd. from Edmonson St. to Wood St. will be closed for utility work tomorrow (9/2/2021) starting at 8:30am till about 5pm. We appreciate your patience.

August 30:Notice: S. Carroll Street between Royal Street and Owen Street will be closed until tomorrow (August 31, 2021). We appreciate your patience.

August 5:Road Closure: McGee St. from Aaron St. to W. College St. will be closed on Monday, August 9th for utility repairs. Work will begin at 8:15 am and should be completed by lunch time.

August 4: We will have to shut S. Carroll street down from E College St. to Owen St. tomorrow (August 5, 2021) beginning at 8:15 am for a repair to be made on the water main. We predict to be completed by lunch.

July 1, 2021:We will have Bryson St. shut down from S. Prairieville to Maryland Dr. on Tuesday, July 6 for utility repairs.

June 30, 2021: Murchison Street from East Tyler Street to the entrance of CVS Pharmacy will be closed through noon Thursday, July 1, to repair a street cut made for utility repairs.

May 21, 2021:The following road and intersection closures will be performed for Tuesday, May 25th, for underground utility work, weather permitting.

  •     The right-hand lane of southbound Hwy. 19 will be closed. Traffic will be merged to the left lane with traffic cones and signs will be put up for guidance.
  •     The intersection of St. Thomas and E. Clinton will be closed for underground utility work.
  •     The intersection of Laird Ln. and E. Clinton will be closed for underground utility work.
  •     The intersection of Lindsey Ln. and E. Clinton will be closed for underground utility work.
  •     The intersection of Lucas Dr. and E. Clinton will be half closed to allow traffic on E. Clinton to turn on Lucas Dr. to detour.

All homes and businesses will have access maintained to their driveways and approaches. Please use precaution as heavy excavating equipment will be set up on E. Clinton. Plan on taking a detour route around the area of construction. We thank you for your patience as the City upgrades our utility infrastructure.



May 13, 2021:The intersection of Lucas Dr. and E. Clinton will be closed Friday, May 14, for underground utility work. Plan on taking a detour route around the area of construction from 7AM to 7PM. Please be mindful of your speed and have precaution as the intersection will be partially open for traffic to detour. Contractors will have road signs and traffic cones in place for guidance. All businesses and homes will have access maintained to their driveways. We thank you for your patience as the City upgrades our utility infrastructure.


May 7, 2021: Bunny Rabbit Road will be closed on 600 block from Valle Vista to Powder Horn from Monday 5/10/21 through Wednesday 5/12/21 for utility repair.

April 15, 2021:The intersection of W. Clinton and S.19 will be shut down overnight (Thursday 15th) due to roadwork repair. The road closure will not extend into S.19 traffic but will affect the intersection. Please plan on taking a detour route around the closed area. Anyone located within the area of construction will have access maintained to their homes and businesses. We thank you for your patience as the City upgrades our utility infrastructure. (Same intersection as April 5, 2021 entry)

April 13:TxDOT will be closing Prairieville Street between Mack and Lakeside streets on Tuesday, April 13, beginning around 8:45 a.m. The project should take one day, but could stretch to two days depending on the weather.

Please plan to use an alternative route during the closure.

April 6, 2021: Please be aware that N. Prairieville from Scott St. to Baker St. will be closed today (4/6/21) due utility maintenance. It will reopen tomorrow. We appreciate your patience.

April 5, 2021:The intersection of W. Clinton and S.19 (but will not extend into S. 19 traffic) will be closed from Wednesday, April 7th to Friday, April 9th for underground utility work. Please plan on taking a detour route around the construction area between the hours of 7AM to 7PM. Anyone located within the area of construction will have access maintained to their homes and businesses. We thank you for your patience as the City upgrades our utility infrastructure.
