Doing Business with Athens

Athens strives to ensure that the community receives the maximum value for every dollar spent by the City and that all expenditures are conducted in a manner that preserves public trust. Your involvement as a provider of goods and services for the City is critical in meeting its operational, mission, and service delivery requirements.

All City of Athens vendors are required to provide, and keep current, the following documents:

Bids and Request for Proposals/Qualifications

For any goods or services that must be competitively procured, the City of Athens will post a Bid Solicitation, Request for Proposals (RFP), or Request for Qualifications (RFQ) on this webpage.  Any procurements over $50,000 must be awarded by a vote of the City Council.  Additionally, the City will also post requests for interested entities to submit pricing quotes for certain procurements.
